CliffHello guys, I come in every once in awhile, been busy with a sick mother with full dementia and a sick wife. Life, right? Glad to see SF is as tight as ever. A lot of these names brings back memories If I can get away, the first half slab of BBQ ribs will be on me if your ever in KCMO hopefully.

Mustang-PaPaIndyFFL or whatever different ID he would creat after getting banded sure kept flaming out but just could not stay away.
He had a style though that was very easy to spot when he did come back under a new ID.

parabellumYeah, ol' IndyFFL. Banned, came back. Outed and banned again. Came back. Outed and banned again. Came back, only this time, using the (unbeknownst to me) actual identity of a member of his family. He was screwing around in the Classifieds, so I published the name (thinking it was merely an alias and not some unfortunate actual person) because I was sick of this shit.
"Do not do business with (
name), who is actually IndyFFL."
Then, Indy's family found out and got involved and contacted me, told me this was a real person's name and asked me to redact it, and said it wouldn't happen again.
Haven't heard a peep out of the monumental douchebag since. My boy screwed the pooch, had his whole family pissed off at his antics. Wouldn't I like to have been a fly on the wall for that next family reunion.

Still here armored, thanks for the mention. I've just been a bit busy. I unfortunately had to suffer from back to back shoulder surgeries due too the rotator cuff not adhering to the bone properly. Full tears are more difficult to repair, so it'll take some more time to heal. As for everything else, I've been getting to all those things that I've neglected over the years. Complete remodel of the basement took almost 3 months, but damn, did it come out great. It was tough to get back online due to all the work, but phase one is complete. Phase two is resanding the hardwood floors and a whole lot of painting of the upper portion of the house.
I'm enjoying my retirement and don't have any regrets. I'm very fortunate and blessed to have been able to do it. I highly recommend it to all of you that aren't already there. Shout out to CPS SIG for heads up in this thread.

Black92LXWho was the dude, pretty sure he was pretty popular FFL in the classifieds and posted quite a bit.
He then wanted to karma off a gun or maybe raffle it off but wanted someone to pay the cost of the gun.
Pretty sure he got the boot for that.

Sounds familiar, IIRC, he wanted the karma winner to cover the shipping.

kkina^Can't remember his name, but he proposed a "raffle" in which he would be reimbursed his cost for the rifle (some oddball gun he couldn't sell), with Sigforum keeping any "profit" above cost.
He didn't get too far with his brand of altruism.

parabellumYeah, I asked him why in the world wouldn't I just buy a gun to raffle, since he wanted to charge us for it anyway. I pointed out that he was more doing a favor for himself than for us, by managing to unload an item he couldn't sell.
He got pissy about it, got insulting. I told him I was going to post the entire email exchange in the forum and he said go ahead, telling me that members would the see that he was right.
Yeah, oops. That's not how it went. He got blasted.
I feel kinda bad about it now, because he had a partner in his business venture who was also a member of the forum and he was a good guy who was impacted by his business partner's lack of self-awareness.
This was 21 years ago. We were all so much younger then.

dking271I remember that whole deal and the fact he had a business partner, but surely that couldn’t have possibly been 21 years ago. Father time shows no mercy.
