Does anyone remember that "Para" guy?
Not sure, maybe he was a moderator or something at some point.
Posted some funny stuff, now and again.
Maybe a bit spicy now and again, but he damned sure cut bait.

old rugged crossjljones? I did not think it was the same person as he was a sheriff's a deputy in rural central Or. iirc. Or thought he was.
A bit of a different persona than jlj. But maybe things changed for him, if that is him.

Good to see names I haven’t thought about in a while. Well, some of them.

There was someone with a screen name something like SOinterceptor- maybe you're thinking of him?

So did he ever get reported to a moderator and, was that Para guy forced to spank the monkey?

Are you thinking of Flork?

We still have his lubricant suggestions for the classic P series pinned in the pistol section. IIRC, he went left GrayGuns and opened his own shop. I’m not sure what happened after that - assuming my memory is correct.
I did talk with SRA yesterday. He is jonesing for a HK MK 23.

I always enjoyed his posts and I loved the constable story. I remember his medical issues but he sounded like he was getting better.

Fire AwayDo any of you remember the SIG List from the 90s? I wonder whatever happened that the guy that ran that. I think his name was Julian?

LBAR15I was never a prolific poster but I've been gone a while. I recently dusted off the safe and got myself back to the range which of course made me think of Sigforum where I came for advice in 2007 on my first pistol purchase, a Sig X5 Tactical. Happy to be back and see familiar names and a thriving forum.

Pretty sure Frank passed a few years ago. Brain cancer as I recall.

To ORC’s original question you actually have several answers.
Flork- Scott was a gunsmith for Bruce and a volunteer sheriffs deputy. He is now the VP over at Apex Tactical.
RLN_21- Roy was a gunsmith and part time sheriffs deputy. He eventually left the hinterlands and moved to I believe Portland to become a full time copper.
GGI-Rick- Rick was a gunsmith and volunteer sheriffs deputy. He left and opened up Lazy Wolf.
