tatortoddTire Pressure Poll
Truck manufacturer’s recommended plus/minus 0.5 psi for normal every day driving
I’ll add at least 3 psi to rears if I know I’m putting a load in my truck

Doc H.FWIW, more recent model cars display only the tire pressure(s) recommended for maximum load in the door panel, as opposed to earlier models which gave a range between standard and maximum. So if you're reading the door panel for your late model car's tire pressure, those figures are the recommended pressure for a fully loaded vehicle.

GustoferMan, a lot of you guys are OCD.

Chalk? Pyrometer? Wow.
Me? If my dummy light tells me I have a low tire, I'll check them against the door sticker. That's happened once in the six years I've owned my truck.
If I'm in a vehicle that doesn't have a dummy light, I'll eyeball them. If one looks a little low or if I notice the vehicle pulling, I'll check them all against the sticker.
Otherwise? I don't worry about it.
Almost 40 years of driving and it hasn't failed me yet.

Yeah, but did you get 150,000 miles out of your last set of tires? Because I did.

EdmondI fill to the manufacturer spec.
I'm not the "their engineers know what's best" type of person, either but I think their spec seems to be a good compromise for general driving.
