In the more money than sense category.

If I had fuck you money, though, I'd snag that $36000 setup. Big Grin

I love how they give you the option of splitting it into $30,000 installments. If you can afford a million dollar pair of binoculars "just because", I suspect you're not too concerned about cash flow problems.

O.M.G. I feel so inadequate with my little Questar and my mere 102 mm Tak. Not to mention the Televue 85. I clearly need to step up my game. Barf!!

They look less weird when they're on the veranda of a $33M beachfront home in Santa Monica. Big Grin

Not the binoculars I was expecting. Seems more akin to a telescope.

The Navy Mark III bigeye model is totes my jam.

And look! "Reasonable offers considered" on the $1m-$5k binos. So it's not all bad news there. But really, if you have the kind of resources to throw at binoculars it would be gauche to try to negotiate.

I imagine, in this day and age, you can't be serious about binoculars unless they are fed into a digital camera and backed by an AI. I'd imagine that these sorts of systems are what enables "spy" satellites and that they cost far more than a $million.

And, how many of these taxpayer-funded delights are being used primarily to image naked sunbathers in their back yards in Malibu?

It would be very similar to that, just a thousand times worse.

Beautiful binoculars but definitely something for people who have more money than they know what to do with.
