Fly-SigWhere to get family history book printed?
This book will be about 80-100 pages, mostly text but about 10 pages or so of photographs. There are 3 or 4 pages of graphics in creating the family tree.
I'd like it to be archival quality as much as reasonably possible, and expect to have about 10 copies printed to send to family.
I am using Apple Pages on an iMac to create the document, and have started moving it to MixBook which is a printing service. The process of creating it in MixBook is a bit tedious, as each page is a separate text box, and the tree is less than easy to build. The price is starting to look scary at this kind of page count!
So, are there any better ways to get this printed and bound as a book which hopefully at least one family member will pass on to future generations?

ffipsCould you reach out to a yearbook type publisher? Back in the day, format/setup was on the school to do so the company basically just did printing and binding. Surely there are some small schools around that do similar, where do they get published at?
Just found one, that choosing high end products (like faux leather and foil stamp (think title on cover in gold)) with 10 copies at 100 pages (realize that is 50 pages front back) full color would be right at $97/copy. That doesn't sound terrible given the desires/content. I also opted for a 9x12 sizing. Did it at book1one.com, there might be other options.

NavyGuyGoogle digital book printers. This will bring up a good selection of services such as you are seeking. Back when I had my printing business, we did this sort of thing, so if you're in a major metro area, check for local printers as well.

KrazeehorseDo you have a local print shop? That would be a good starting place.
