Just came from dr.We looked at latest x ray's

T1 c7 herniated.

Marked scoliosi's in thoracic spine,with dis degeneration.

I am 62,rode hard,hung up wet.

I need a good mattress folk's.Money is not a problem.
Which mattress do you folk's like?????

I absolutely love my tempurpedic. They are expensive but worth it. You’ll have to determine the firmness you want by visiting a store.

Tempurpedic here too..it was hot initially, but we adjusted. I can really tell when we stay elsewhere.

I am not sure that any mattress will actually help your situation.

For what its worth, we also have a Tempurpedic and are more than pleased with it.

Some of the same problems here after an accident.
We didn’t want another memory foam or high priced air mattress.
We followed the advice of a couple of chiropractors to take a look at latex mattresses.

I tried memory foam in hotels. Too hot and you just sink and and can’t move.

Springs can be ok. But the really stupid high priced ones are, well, stupid high priced for no reason but marketing.

Latex mattress was not something I’d even considered or knew much about until I started reading about mattress construction and pricing. But it was what I bought. Best mattress decision. YMMV.

Tried most all the kinds, and now have a latex. Best one so far.

The best advice is to first narrow down to spring, hybrid (spring memory foam), memory foam or latex. It all depends on how you sleep. I move around and am 230# 6 foot. We went with SAATVA. Online hybrid. Absolutely love it. Me wife and two labs very little movement. Great lumbar support. Was worried buying online but glad we did. Comparable to sterns and foster 5k version. Yea not going to spend that. Also look at warranty length and if it is prorated. Mine is 15 years not prorated. To narrow it down me and wife spent several days going to several stores and spending time trying and lying on them. Is was a PITA. But realized I do not like memory foam,or the sleep number thing. Agreed on type (hybrid) and then internet searched. Zeroed in on SAATVA and ordered. Also used HSA money with doctor note and bad back. So pretax dollars. Good luck.

After spending up for the higher end of quality manufacturers, I am very happy with Sleep Number after four years.

Ironically the cheapest mattress I've had (a memory foam one) is the best I've had. Tried all different brands out at a store then ended up just ordering one on Amazon for about 250 or 300. It's actually firm, and can basically jump on it and the gf doesn't even notice. Haven't had any issues with heat, but I am picky on my sheets. I forgot the thread count and all that as I go for how smooth they feel, but never really get hot at night with them.

While cheap worked for me and my back, my dad also has back issues from an accident and I know they splurged on one of the ones you can adjust all different ways for each side. That helped him as he needs to sleep at a slight angle.

Tempurpedic for me too. We've been sleeping on them for about 15 years and I wouldn't use anything different.

I also have a wrecked-up neck and back. I tried an adjustable frame bed as the other half of the total sleep solution, and after 4 months absolutely love it. These allow you to raise the upper torso and the lower legs to any position that's comfortable. With a bit of head and foot elevation (and bent knees) this has dramatically reduced my neck and back pain allowing me to get a much better night's sleep. Now I dread sleeping on a flat mattress when I'm away from home.

Make sure you get the bolt-on metal tubing that keeps the mattress from sliding down when the upper torso is raised. Some frame companies don't ship with these included (mine was free after I contacted the company).

If you sleep with a significant other, you'll need to discuss whether to get a full size adjustable frame or individual twin beds and place them together. After a very short discussion, Mrs. 'Hook decided a good night's sleep was more important than sleeping right next to me in my bed position. She now has her own twin adjustable bed as well and is also getting a better night's sleep.

Latex foam mattress for the win for us. But...ours is pushing 10 years old so might need replacement pretty soon.

For decades I searched for a mattress that I liked; I never found what I wanted even though my last mattress was a Tempurpedic. Too soft, too warm.

I finally solved my problem by placing a piece of plywood over the Tempurpedic and then purchasing a thicker than normal mattress topper. There is plenty of support and I don't sink in after laying there for a while. If the mattress topper breaks down and becomes uncomfortable I will just buy another one on Amazon. I have used this same mattress topper for 2.5 years.

I doubt I will ever go back to a conventional mattress. Additionally, I will never have to worry about the mattress settling in one spot as my weight is distributed over the entire mattress rather than just the spot I sleep in.

I suffer from severe spinal degeneration. I bought a tempurepedic 8 years ago and it is the best 5k investment I have ever made. It’s 22” thick and envelopes my whole body. The only drawback from a mattress like that is that it makes romantic inclinations an adventure. Lol

After suffering for a long time with lower back issues i finally bought a new mattress about 6 months ago. A Zinus from Amazon.

King Size super firm coil mattress. Best 500.00 i've ever spent. I couldn't bring myself to purchase a 5K mattress again. This totally whips the tempurpedic foam mattress it replaced. I'm 6 months in and no sags etc. If it doesn't last 2 years i'll buy another one at this price, hell i'd buy one of these each year.

I loved my Tempuroedic for years....until my back started hurting. Switched it out with a hand me down Costco mattress and hurt even worse. Every mattress company says they are the best so it’s impossible to know what will really work for you. So I went with a sleep number i8. I hated paying that much for a glorified air mattress but once I found my sleep number, my back stopped hurting. So it works great for us.

Tuft & Needle "Mint" was a surprisingly comfortable choice for us. Replaced a 20 year old Tempurpedic. Only $850 (I know you said money is no object). I just like spending less than I can spend.

I am a hot sleeper so the Tempurpdic was out for me.

Went with a layered latex with 1" of wool on the outsides which keeps it cool

The mattress is flippable (not even that horrible to flip a king size cuz of the latex core) and has been worth every penny (was an ass ton of money though)

I would recommend a similar construction and avoid pillow tops......
