It's not by accident. Our foes have used technology to maintain a constant divisive force on our populace. And in time, our differences have become more important than what we share. For years, this campaign has been waged, and in many ways, we have been effectively neutered.

I hate to say this but putting my head in the sand has been pretty good. We don't watch the tv anymore and I block internet ads and questionable websites and I just have no idea what is going on in the world. Heck, I learned about the Russian invasion through memes.

I guess what I'm saying is, I needed refreshing and this did it. I'll probably eventually wade back into the muck but for now, I'm happy.

Its an attempt to pull off the Color Revolution on us.

It worked in the Ukraine to install a corrupt government there, an attempt was tried in Russia and now its being thrown at us to see what sticks. Divide and conquer.

Actually I see things getting better. Covid is dead in the water now, mandates disappearing. Bidens polls reflect the country realizing he's not fit to be in office and he's being managed for an agenda, not a Presidency. And investigations into government corruption are exposing a lot of players.

If the media took a stance on something in the past, it's now being proven daily they were wrong. Which is what a lot of us explained even then. This has been going on for over 5 years now, not just Biden being manipulated into office. If the people are polled and the President only gets a 35% confidence rating, and over 51% believe hes medically unfit, its a major step forward in accepting the truth.

Things are looking up compared to a year ago. And it's going to get even better.

For the moment, better for "our side", worse for "their side". But still divided. China (and Russia) ascending.

I’ve become cold and largely disconnected from the world at large because I can’t tolerate the insanity. It’s like society celebrates being miserable and in a constant state of panic or conflict.

People (mostly at work, I don’t go many other places) give me a confused look when I say, “I don’t care” in response to almost every issue of the day. The only news I see anymore is here and it’s usually relevant and/or hilarious. COVID? Don’t care, it’s panic theater and I refuse to play along. Racism? I believe as MLK Jr. and see the content of character. War/famine/disease/facetwatgram/sports/celebrities/whatever, don’t care. Me and mine are sane and taking care of ourselves, everyone else can do as they wish so long as they leave me alone. If they can’t leave me alone my reaction will be swift, assertive and brutal.

In respect to the Covid bullshit, I have been defiant for most of the last 2 years. The only places I’ve worn their stupid muzzle is on airplanes for work related travel, and other places where I had to for business related purposes. I’ve been a stubborn asshole and very vocal about masks and these stupid “vaccines”. The last few months I have actually felt an improvement in attitude- I see far more people saying “fuck masks, fuck the vaccines”, positive attitude about the midterms, creepy Joe’s slide in the polls despite the MSM trying to prop him up. I guess I’m saying I feel more hopeful for the future than 6 months+ ago.

I’ve been trying to keep a positive attitude and focus on my family, keep our kids moving forward, etc. Now that’s starting to turn to crap as well.

We love the school my kids have been going to since preschool and kindergarten. I’ve been volunteering in anyway I can because I believe in the school’s mission. I sub there and supported them in other ways as well. The church whose school it is has decided changes need to be made and the whole school is in an uproar. The school has been a source of joy and a refuge for years, but not anymore. My 8th grade daughter will be going to the same collegiate high school my oldest son attends. That leaves us with our 6th grade son who we may be forced to hone school.

After a couple of great years, my oldest son’s swim team seems to be falling apart. It’s crazy. At meets we host, the other local clubs manage to bring 4 times as many swimmers each than our club. The core group of parents are getting burned out and the kids are unmotivated. I just found out one of the coaches, probably the better one, is leaving. Talking to the parents of other two best swimmers, they are thinking of leaving, which would leave my son alone with the unmotivated. I’d leave, but the coach that’s left is the high school coach for the school my son has to swim for.

The past few years have been a great opportunity for me to learn that my emotional trajectory can be chosen by me. There’s plenty of positive out there for my family and me to focus on and, as the man of the household, I have to remind myself that this is part of my leadership job description.

At the end of the movie on Beethoven, the woman who turned out to be his "Immortal Beloved" was asked how she could forgive him after he had done so much wrong to her. (as I remember it)

She said, when I heard his 9th symphony I realized I must forgive him, I could not hate someone who could create such beauty (again, as I remember it).

There is so much that is beautiful in the world around us, kids raising money to dig wells for people. People feeding the hungry, etc. Create something, build something, give something away, But basically, Be a Blessing to others, and just as importantly allow others to be a blessing to you.

Biden ran the country into a brick wall and the worse it get's, the better the leftists like it. You can't have a reset if things are going well.

“Everyone says that they need a friend like Sam, but they forget that they should try to be like Sam”.

Redstone, Damn. It’s so interesting that you would post that LOTR clip just now. Minutes ago I having a conversation with my mom about how friendships like Sam and Frodo don’t actually exist. The timing is just incredible.

Interesting thing about that beatitude. "Meek" as it was used at the time meant reserved strength. Like a meek man was a man who had access to force and the skill to utilize it, but did not. I would call the vast majority of this message board membership meek, if you wanted a parallel to what it meant when Jesus of Nazareth used it.

I see a lot of promise in the current crop of teenagers - at least, the ones working for me.

They like being paid - and some of the recent crop of College Kids I have are getting paid like senior people - but they’re also out producing the people they replaced, and are putting a lot of drive behind it. (In hindsight, it makes more sense to hire ambitious and young, and treat it as a stepping stone job)
