I like supporting the NRA.
I'm not so sure about the collection insurance.
I have two competition rifles, 2 collection pistols, 2 off the shelf pistols and then hunting rifles and shotguns. Expensive Scopes on all rifles.
The way I'm reading it is they don't pay replacement but actual cost based on nada at the time of loss.
That sucks. I want total replacement for everything.
I need help in this area.

Scheduled on your home owners policy. I don't believe I had to provide serial numbers up front for mine. Just identify as say 1 Glock 23 value $600.

^ What he said. You may or may not need receipts depending on your insurance company, but this is one of the best ways to do it.

This is what I did. Not sure if they try to verify values or if it even matters to them, as you are paying your premium based on your stated value.

The home owners policies I looked into sucked for firearm coverage. The NRA (Arms Care) program does not require a schedule of items. Pick an amount and buy the coverage. Collectibles is also very good.

My State Farm policy covers only $5000 in firearms.

I recently obtained a rider to have that upper to $38,000. cost per year was $270. They bill me monthly by adding it on to another Life policy pay in the same manner automatically.

If you homeowners won't schedule something and insure it get another carrier. Things that everybody limits in the base policy like guns/stamps/jewelry etc. any decent carrier will allow you to schedule, do agreed value and pay an additional premium. generally the cost is very reasonable.

I’m using this place, I haven’t had a loss yet so I can’t tell you how they pay out but the reviews I read were good.
