My wife saw a sewing class coat hanging at the entrance to Joann's
Said she had to have one. So I sewed it in what I call poodle fur for her birthday.

Wow, that looks great. I hope she appreciates having a husband who can cook and sew.

I have an industrial upholstery machine that I use too.
It's more what I do as a sideline among other things.
I sewed car interiors when I was a young man.

I actually collect vintage art glass lamps.
I have a Handel slag glass in my collection. But mostly Miller or Salem Brothers.

Well done!

It cracks me up when the parents of my Cub Scout den look at me like I'm some sort of miracle worker because I can sew by hand or use a sewing machine.

Learned how while in Boy Scouts.

That is really cool. I’ve never progressed much beyond button and sock repair. I’m impressed by anyone that can actually sew these days. It is becoming a lost art, much like leather work, true gun smithing, heck even mechanic skills in general.

And yes, I think everyone should have a “side hustle”.

You are amazing! My wife tried to teach me how to use a sewing machine. It didn't turn out well.
