I have sunglasses with photochromatic lenses. They work well but are lacking polarization which I value significantly, especially near water (kayaking). Rx lenses are ridiculously expensive. But even polarized replacement lenses are pricey. Anyone with any experience with Revant lenses? Elite polarized series? "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." Costco optical department has quality lenses at reasonable price. I prefer NON-polarized sunglass lenses, but Costco only has polarized (as of the last time I bought glasses). הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

Sorry. I should have these are sport sunglasses with wrap around lenses. Like Oakley and such. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." L.Tolstoy "A government is just a body of people, usually, notably, ungoverned." Shepherd Book

I was going to use Revant lenses but they didn’t have the particular set I needed for some Costa frames. I ended up at The Sunglasses Fix. Shipped from Australia fairly quickly - just in case you can’t find what you need in a domestic source.

Thanks. Looks good as an alternative. They didn't have lenses for my frames (Rudy Project model) but pricing seems similar. Although their lenses are polyamide vs polycarbonate at revant. I bought polarized Revant lenses as replacements for a pair of Oakleys many years ago and was left unimpressed with them; the lenses were noticeably thinner, okay at best. More recently, I need new lenses for a different Oakley frame and began to google for aftermarket replacements... two companies kept popping up, Revant & Fuse Lenses. Having already tried Revant, I opted for Fuse Lenses (bonus point to the fact that they were within driving distance). Drove to their place of business and got to watch them cut my lenses out. Fuse Lenses appear to be thicker (closer to original) than Revant, clarity isn’t bad (not as good as original Oakley IMO) and have held up well for about a year now; I bought their highest priced lens option. I don’t know if they have what you need (their selection is limited) but give them a look.

Uh oh. I hope I’ll be okay with the value of them. Don’t need hard use but they need to be useful when biking or kayaking. Maybe out hiking as well but that’s not vigorous. I did hear they were thinner but hopefully still robust and snug enough. If not, I’ll return them and just bite the bullet. Fuse may be another alternative. They didn’t have lenses for my frames though. "Wrong does not cease to be wrong because the majority share in it." L.Tolstoy "A government is just a body of people, usually, notably, ungoverned." I’ve had good luck with Revant. Replaced the lenses twice in my Oakleys. Also replaced wife’s ray ban lenses. I’m a satisfied Revant customer.

I replaced the lenses for my Oakley Ballistic M-Frame with Revant and Revo Giant Python with Sunglasses Fix almost two years ago. Both had held up well. I'm more pleased with the lenses for my Giant Python. They're my favorite driving/outdoor sunglasses, and after more than 20 years, the lenses were in rough shape. Sunglasses Fix was the only vendor that offered replacements for that model. The fit was excellent, has held up well, and are lighter as they are not glass lenses. I got the same color as the original. Though they have the same outward appearance, they don't cast the same yellowish tint looking through them as I did with the originals. Not sure if the tint was indicative of a superior lens, but I do find them more comfortable for my eyes in very bright conditions. Still, it was either put up with the scratched lenses or buy a new pair. I saved a bunch and was able to keep my favorite frame using the replacement lenses.

I had Revant lenses for Oakley & pair of their sunglasses (F3?, don't remember, the ones like Flackjackets). They were GTG until I started getting emails about social bullshit about the time BLM was all the rage. Went with Fuse last time around. Wasn't crazy about the color difference in the lenses at first, but I got used to them & they have held up well. I have a 2nd pair for when these get beat up - they've made it over a year, which is usually optimistic for me.

I've bought a few Revants for my Oakleys. They were noticeably worse, IMO. They look cheap and the clarity is pretty poor.

Character, above all else |
I replaced the prescription lenses in my Maui Jims with Revants after my lasik eye surgery rendered them useless. They are not Maui Jim quality lenses, but they are good enough to drive with. I also found a pair of prescription Ray Bans in the street and replaced the scratched lenses with polarized Fuse lenses. They are okay for mowing and hanging out, but the optical clarity isn't good enough to drive with, IMHO (yes, I am very picky about this). They also have the weird appearance of delamination along the edges on the back side of the lens, but it's not noticeable while wearing them. I’ve replaced a few pairs of Oakley lenses with Revant. Quality lenses. No distortion. The polarized ones are very nice and I would highly recommend. The “lol” thread

The lenses arrived. First impressions are good. They are a little bit thinner but need to look closely. Optically good (supposed to be PC) but will test more. Polarization is excellent but a little bit off axis - not a big deal. Tint and AR coating seem good. Overall, seems like sufficient quality for the price. If the economy improves and the budget allows, I may buy OEM if there is a next time. But on a budget, for my frames, these seem like a decent alternative.
