About three months ago, somebody asked about thermostats. I mentioned that I have one that is programmable, four time periods in each of seven days, with wifi capability.

Not as sophisticated as a Nest, nor as expensive, but does everything we need.

Today's email from WOOT! shows the same model on sale for forty-five bucks.

I have purchased quite a few refurbished various things from WOOT!. All were perfectly fine, except for one item, an iPad Air 2 that had a cosmetic ding that I deemed unacceptable. I contacted WOOT! customer service and I was really pleased with the way that they handled the problem.

They sent a replacement same day, and emailed a pre-paid shipping label for the return of the one that I did not like. They said that if I wanted to, I could wait to return the first one until after I had received the replacement, made sure that the replacement was satisfactory, and then re-use the packaging from the replacement to return the first one.

I have no complaints at all about their re-furbs.
