armoredDecember 7th
My father was 17 when he enlisted in the Marines right after Pearl Harbor. He fought in the south Pacific.
I will never forget his accounts of War nor will I ever forget the stories I was told of life during the Depression and WWII by relatives.
I don't think we will ever be able to pay proper gratitude to the Greatest Generation.
Best I can do is always remember there sacrifice for me.

Blume9mmOne of the ironies I've seen in documentaries is that the Japanese ambassadors in D.C. were supposed to meet with Rosevelt just before the attack and inform him that they were at war with us but they got bogged down trying to decipher the coded message.
