Why don’t you fix your little problem and light this candle |
24 years ago in my first CCW class I took in Texas a state trooper was there, he told us what it meant when we handed him our license and CCW permit: we had no outstanding warrants, we had no restraining orders, no outstanding tickets of note, we were current on our student loans. On and on the list went. He stated, he actually relaxes a little when he is handed one. I have tried to find the research, or article, but it was done to compare crimes LEO's commit with a firearm off duty to CCW crimes with a firearm. It was so lopsided that they narrowed it to Dallas PD, and expanded CCW to all of Texas. It was still a large ratio. Man I wish I could find that article. I am not against LEO's, I back the blue. My point is that those that go through and do CCW are far less likely to make bad decisions. there are always idiots. I knew a guy who discharged a pocket ruger in a pizza shop down town trying to get his keys out (what a moron). He was charged with negligent discharge, lost his clearance and then his job (which required his clearance). I have always been a fan of CCW training. Also, I have never had one bat an eye when I hand over my license (Ive been pulled over 3x in the last ten years, (speeding, inspection out, and general insurance check point). Each time I hand them my license and permit, they just hand the permit back. This business will get out of control. It will get out of control and we'll be lucky to live through it. -Rear Admiral (Lower Half) Joshua Painter Played by Senator Fred Thompson | |||
