Black92LXGot a free Gravely!! Just needs a new seat.
Got a free 44” Gravely Zero Turn with a 17.0 hp Kawasaki motor. It’s pretty old but is a tank! Mowed for a few hours today and she ran like a champ. The only issue is the cushions have completely separated from the frame so I slide all over the place.
Looking for the most comfortable seat I can get. I know it is never going to ride like these new Cadillac smooth zero turns but want something decent to slap on here.
Are seats somewhat universal??
The bolts are 11.25” x 11.25” where they bolt to the flip up plate.
The plate itself is 14.25” across at the cross bolt mounting point.

HRKTake the seat to an automotive upholstery shop, they can fix the foam, upgrade it, recover it and you'll have a better seat. Probably for less money. And, you know it will bolt right up!

I did this with the main seat for my Kawasaki Mule. Was 1/4 the price of a new one.

1s1kSince you got a great deal on it I would just buy a factory replacement because Gravely makes a nice mower.

parabellumWhat you need for that is a good set of made in-the-United-States locking pliers.

D4HeavyI have a Gravely 52 Pro-Turn. Bought it in 2013. Have done nothing but change blades and oil. It’s a tank. Haven’t even replaced a belt yet. My boys mow yards in the summer with it. They have made lots of money with it.
Take care of it and it will last a long time.

ranger312I had that exact same mower. Never had a bit of trouble with it. Very powerful. That has a heavy duty hydro system in it. But it is heavy. I traded it off for the homeowner (Ariens) version. The lighter weight leaves fewer tracks in my lawn, but I sure do miss the power.

rsboloThat thing looks about 1000x better than the 1950's era Gravely bush-hog I used growing up.
I'm not complaining, riding that hog was light years better than pushing anything.

Kind of hoping to find one that upgrades the suspension a bit.
