Is the borscht hot or cold?

Often go to the Chinese buffet for supper Christmas night. By then have been eating traditional holiday food for several days and are ready for a break.

Growing up we always had it cold. I prefer it hot with a spoonful of sour cream melted in and some chives. Dang it's good!
