I discovered the fastest way ever to make country ribs.

Tabitha can't use the smoker, didn't have time to crock pot all day.

I coated them in rub, and put them in the insta pot/air fryer with the pressure lid on them for the "pork" setting. Took less than 30 minutes to cook to absolute perfection tender.

Then I drained the pot and coated the ribs in Sweet Baby Ray's honey BBQ sauce and put the air fryer lid on and set for 10 minutes.

Turned out really good. Not my smoke for hours perfect, but really good for quick made dinner.

Anyone got an easy recipe they like?

My next one will be a roast.

My wife wanted a Ninja Foodi (combination instant pot and air fryer functions). I dragged my heels, saying no way should we drop a couple hundred bucks on a kitchen gadget.

Then, WOOT! had Foodis, re-furbished, for $99 and I relented and ordered one. I am now a convert. Probably 50%, maybe more, of my cooking is now done with this.

Everything that I have cooked in it has turned out to be really tasty.

The best dish, by far, was coq au vin. I'll post the recipe later, when I have time.

I hear ya on "easy" but once you have perfection it is hard to accept less.

I have only done Country Style Ribs in my new Instant Pot one time....so far, but they showed great promise. I found a smoking sale on bone-in country ribs that were thick with a large bone, gave them a try. I have changed the recipe I used a bit, and expect them to be better next time.

I once tried to make some shrimp tempura in the air fryer, using a tempura mix and some panko breading.
They were edible but not nearly as light of a tempura batter as could be found at the local Japanese restaurant.

Haven't tried it since, but will give it a go in the future, adjusting the tempura batter and probably forgoing the panko breading.
The shrimp were cooked perfectly in the air fryer at least.

Also will try making my own tempura dipping sauce (tentsuyu), as the sauce I used was a little heavy on the soy sauce taste, again different than the local Japanese restaurant.
