I went to a Go Kart place in Southern China with friends and the karts were much faster than then the kind most US places have where they have more grip than engine. These you could really drive and drift a little and oversteer on dry pavement. Of course, most of the other drivers did not have driver's licenses and caused a few collisions here and there, but nothing major.

Safety considerations are just different outside the U.S. And generally the denser the population the worse it gets - China and India especially, but Japan is more of an exception to this.

The MarioKart track looks like a blast. Give me 3 runs & I'm good.
1 slow run to get a feel, 2 to pick up speed & 3 to bomb it down the hill.

I would think that the local orthopedic surgeons at the hospital near the track are pretty busy on weekends.

I like it and I laughed watching that. We need stuff like that again, boys today are too soft, broken bones, cuts, stories to tell when they get older. Good stuff, I would ride it.
