Sorry for your loss.

So sorry for your loss.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Sorry to hear that. I remember when mine past away and it seemed like yesterday and that was 11 years ago. Relying on God and family members made it a bit easier to deal with.

I'm very sorry for your loss. My dad is in a similar place. While not suffering right now he has a terminal condition and gets weaker every day. I suspect this will be our last holiday season.

Prayers for you and your family.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and personal emails! Sigforum is truly a remarkable place with remarkable members!

My Mother is doing fairly well so that is a blessing. I've been drafted to play this arrangement of Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing. I don't enjoy playing in public. Speaking? No problem but playing in public is something I don't enjoy. I play at home as a form of stress relief but haven't played a piano solo in public for over 20 years. The song is one of my Father's favorites and my daughter is already playing Going Home, so I'm stuck. Payback for all the crap I put him through as a kid I guess.
