cworetiredCutting the cord
After you have cut the cord and gone with a streaming box is there a way that you can record a show or sporting event? This is all new to me so will have a few questions before I make the jump. Thanks

AeteoclesI'll let someone else chime in with a specific DVR recording solution, as I don't have any experience with that. But I wanted to mention that one of the reasons of having streaming content is so that you don't have to record shows and sporting events. They're there for you to stream when you are ready to watch them on your own time.
The only benefit I can think of with having a DVR setup to record Over-The-Air signals is to rewind "live" tv (like while watching a game), or to catch the really, really local news and local sports for later viewing. I assume most big sports games are available for streaming live as it happens (as I've been out with people who will watch a stream of a football or basketball game).

A few models of TiVo will do that.
