I have a book in Google Doc format I’d like to listen too as easily as a podcast, if possible. Any suggestions? I would love to be easily start/stop and not lose my place. Also, I’d like to be able to turn the screen off while it’s playing.
^^^ Thanks Mark. The built-in reader alone doesn't do what I want, but I emailed a pdf version of the doc to my kindle email address with "convert" in the subject, and it was converted into kindle-friendly format. Now I can listen to the audio, create bookmarks, annotations, etc.

That's pretty cool! I've not used that feature in years and completely forgot about my Kindle email address.
