I had a heart attack in 2016 at age 62. It's a sobering event. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

I was nonchalantly reading along until I got to the cardiac arrest part.

I was even wondering why you had to go to the doctor for a flu. It seemed like all those things were not connected to me anyway - flu, back pain, and cardiac arrect - but I'm glad you were where the doctor could help you.

"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Dang Elmer. Glad you made it through!

I read your OP and thought to myself, "I could totally see myself ignoring all those signs." Then lower down the thread I read your history. I get it now, I'd be very careful too after that.

Best wishes to you and prayers for a good recovery.

Thankfully you recognized bad symptoms and took action, many people don't. Glad you're on the road to recovery, take care.

Good to hear.
I hope you can get out of there soon because hospitals are no place to get rest.

That is scary. I have seen it a few times and transported a good amount of patients having similar symptoms that changed quickly. Glad to hear you are doing well and will pray for you as well. The Good Lord came through for you and His salvation is something you can have to put your mind/heart at ease.
