Nice! I love seeing new trucks get driven off road as opposed to to 99% that never leave pavement. Frown

We went up Schnebly Hill Road yesterday. Here is the videos my wife took. I think she likes shooting video more than the off roading experience. Too bad there wasn’t any technical stuff for her to shoot.

nice! how long is the route? i wonder if i could do it in my truck when i make it out there. i’m thinking not as clearance and angles seem a little challenging for stock.

Schnebly Hill is 11 miles. You could easily make it in the Lexus. There were a lot of stock height vehicles. I was picking the worst lines possible, just to make it less boring.
Passed a guy in a Honda CRV. Picking the right lines, he shouldn’t have had issues.

Same with Broken Arrow. There are a couple spots that would be a little tough, but picking the lines right, Broken Arrow is doable.
That said, Schnebly would be easy in your Lexus.

I've done Schnebly in a stock F-150 with no issues at all. I've also done Broken Arrow in a stock Nissan Xterra and a stock Toyota 4Runner with no issues either.

I definitely have a love/hate relationship with Sedona. Love the natural beauty and the scenery, cannot stand some of the residents. We had to do a public health project there. One of the elementary schools had 54% of their students that were unvaccinated due to the philosophical exemption that the state allows. It did not go over well in the meeting when I asked, "So when do we start passing out blankets?"

My wife loves Sedona went hiking there today, I worked on a few things around the house.
When we first visited Arizona, it was for a conference I attended in Sedona, my wife fell in love with the area, but I told her it was too hippy dippy for my taste. Live in Dewey now work in cottonwood and for the wife Sedona is a short less than an hour drive away

I lived in Prescott for a little while back in the fall '88/winter '89. Used to go to a flea market somewhere near Cottonwood. Some nice country from Prescott on up to Flagstaff.

You work in Cottonwood? I live/work here. We should meet up sometime.

Thanks for this thread, would love to move there some day as Clearwater Florida is getting too crowded! I own a 2000 Toyota 4Runner 4WD w/rear locker so would LOVE something more challenging than flat Florida...

Looks like fun and a nice area. I’ve been impressed with what my 3rd gen taco can do off road. I went with a bunch of Jeep guys right after I bought it in the Jemez area in northern NM. Those were some cringe worthy trails. One guy broke the suspension on his Jeep. My Taco made it like a champ.

Now do the old stage coach trail between Crown King and Prescott,
If it's till open to vehicles.

There was also a 4 w.d. only trail from
Sun City West to Crown King,

We got invited to go with three other full size pickups, but
They wanted to go up and back
(10 hours)
We wanted to go up
And take 17 back home.

Five hours in 3rd gear low, was about our limit.

I didn’t scrape the new sliders yet. There was only one point if contact all day, and when I went over a crevice, the hitch banged slightly.

Hoping to get out to a trail later today, or first thing tomorrow morning.

I bought one a year ago, and can't tell you how nice it is to have in the tacoma. IT will pump up bike tires, and take a tacoma tire from 25 to 33 lbs in less than a minute.

Great trail, I've driven it many times. Beancooker, if you are interested I can try and find my old Tonto National Forest map with all of the routes highlighted to get back to the old copper and mercury mines. I used to spend just about every weekend out there.

Very nice videos. I took one of the Red Jeep tours in 2009 when my coach tour of western National Parks went through Sedona. It was fun and I got some great photos.

Back in the 1960s my parents ran the Hitching Post Motel and Restaurant (it was on the edge of town, then). My mom baked all the pies.
