I get an Oliva Connecticut Reserve torpedo that’s pretty mild. Also try the Pancho Sanza Double Maduro Escudero. Don’t let the dark wrapper fool you. I found it to be very mild.

I’ll look in my humidor tomorrow for others.

I would highly recommend the Sobremesa Brûlée from Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust. Another recommendation would be the La Promesa from My Father. Both are recent releases and meant to be on the lighter side in terms of strength but still fairly rich in terms of flavor. It’s perfect for a morning smoke with a cup of coffee or two.

Rocky Patel Vintage 1999 with the Connecticut Shade wrapper... if you're looking for a creamy cigar.

Drew Estate Java and Java Mint were 2 of my favorites when I puffed regularly (I don't really care for the super dark, super rich stuff). Rocky Patel Decade and the Vintage 1999 & 2003 are all solid choices as well.

Check out the JR website. You can actually search by strength factor. Most brands offer a variety between mild and full-bodied. I prefer R&J or the Montes. If I want to go cheap or want to share with guys who don’t appreciate a good smoke or who I know won’t finish a smoke, I’ll break out the Casa de Garcia.

The Perdomo's are the cream of the crop, but more expensive, the Macanudo Inspirado's are the best deal, and the Romeo y Julieta are probably the strongest (but still mild) flavor.

I quit a year or two ago. I figured at 75, it was time to hang it up but I miss it. Back in the 70's, I enjoyed Royal Jamaicas, more recently it was Cohibas and some types of A&C . For every day, I used to smoke English Coronas but one day I was shooting sporting clays and on one stand, there was a guy smoking a cigar that just smelled great . I asked what it was expecting him to say some $15 per stick brand and to my surprise, he said it was a Phillies Titan. I had a few high grade cigars, that I liked but got tired of going into cigar stores for recommendations and spending $12 for something that tasted like a rope. I started buying Titans at the drug store and grocery store. I was smoking 3-4 a day but besides the health issues, my wife was getting tired of my spending so much time in my garage/mancave. So give the Titans a try, at least for a daily cheap smoke.

I like mild sticks as well and found a budget smoke that I really like from JR - yeah the name is cheesy, but the price is right (around $2 a stick - on sale right now for about $1.50) so I don't feel too bad having 2 or 3 each time I'm out fishing. I use a punch cutter vs blade cutter since I like to chew them a bit. Mild, creamy smoke and good flavor tobacco.

I'll second Perdomo Connecticuts. The Tenth Anniversary are my current favorite but they're getting hard to find. The Perdomo Small Batch 2005 is also excellent.

For a decent cold weather cigar, Ashton Half Corona Connecticut Edition is surprisingly decent. And relatively cheap. It's a quick smoke and they aren't particularly sensitive to humidity.

Lots of good stuff mentioned, Ashton, perdomo, Olivia.

I would add Avo, Headley Grange by crowned heads.

Monte White Series, not overly expensive and a smooth mild taste, it's what I go to when I'm wanting a break from the heavier, zestier smokes.

Montecristo White Series

Heres a "white label" sampler from Mikes, it has 5 different mild CT wrapper cigars that smoke like you were describing, for $20 pick up a pack and try them out, see which fits the bill.

+1. The 1999 Rocky and Perdomo’s 10th would be my top two picks.
