Back in my working days, I got into a bad...but tasty habit of making a strong dark roast instant coffee with a packet of hot chocolate, half n' half, cinnamon and a dash of red pepper. Poor man's mocha. Been having my coffee that way for years now. A teaspoon each of instant coffee and Swiss Miss. No marshmallows though, those only go in pure hot chocolate. ________________________________________________________ It is long past time for a Convention of States. ...back about 47 years ago, I first encountered that drink when someone told me to mix my instant coffee packet, sugar, creamer, and cocoa packet from a C-ration into the canteen cup, heat, and enjoy! Very comforting drink when you're cold and damp. | |||

I started trying to mix a packet of hot chocolate with my mug of coffee a number of years ago. I stuck with it during the cold months, but when it warmed up, I gave up both. I do go back once in a great while. | |||

Not hot but cold. Years ago I used to stop at a worn down Dairy Queen in West Palm Beach for a chocolate malt milk shake. One of the only places that had real malt powder. One time the old lady asked if I would like to add coffee to it. I said 'Why yes, yes I would". Turned out to be one of the best milk shakes I ever had. Got it like that from then on. _____________________________________________ I may be a bad person, but at least I use my turn signal. | |||
