This guy stopped by four times during my morning coffee. He got within and arm's reach of me.

He came by often enough that I was able to go inside, get my phone and capture that video.

What should I name him?

Nice to see a "hummer" again. We used to have quite a few around the house here. Have not seen on in years.

I have the same feeder.

It seems the hummies prefer this style this year.

They don't touch the others.

Tabitha has a Barn Swallow that sits by her while she drinks her coffee in the mornings.

Just sits by her and chatters in his Swallow language.

Many years ago we had put out new grass seed, which needed watering often until it sprouted and took root. Behind the garage we had an area enclosed by privet hedge, there was by this time a gap in the hedge. As I was watering I noticed a robin at the opening and, in a moment of mischievousness I gave him a squirt with the hose. He gave a startled chirp and hopped out of sight, I went back to watering and, after a minute or so, I spied the robin back at the same spot so I repeated the spritz with the hose, with the same result. This time, however, I watched the spot where he had reappeared and, lo and behold he had returned, a little farther out, I had to raise my aim a little to arc the water onto his spot. This went on for easily 45 minutes, the robin and I playing tag with the hose. He could have flown away any time he chose, but he opted to remain and keep me company until such time as I was finished giving the new grass a drink. I’ve noticed that robins seem to have a relaxed tolerance for humans.

Just based on your location, it is likely an Anna's Hummingbird - and likely that "he" is a "she" based on the white tips on the tail feathers.

Adult males have red feathers on their heads, females a red patch on the throat, but if it is one of this year's fledglings, those feathers may not be in yet.

We get lots of Hummingbirds at the lake place. Took this pic out of our dining room window during a huge thunderstorm. They just swarmed the feeders during the entire storm.
