Caught this on the scanner app about an hour ago ago when I got home as I was at an event. I'm guessing it was worse earlier but it sounds like a lot of looting and even shootings going on in Philly.

PHILADELPHIA - Authorities in Philadelphia responded to widespread reports of looting Tuesday night at retail stores across the city.

Hugh E. Dillon shared video on X, formerly known as Twitter, of the massive police response in Center City. His post says the Apple Store, Lululemon and Footlocker near 17th and Walnut streets were ransacked by individuals that appeared to be juveniles.

FOX 29's Steve Keeley obtained video of the ransacked Apple Store with iPhones and iPads scattered across the display tables. Another video shows a man being arrested, but it's unknown if his arrest was related to the looting.

Keeley reports some stores in North Philadelphia were also struck by looters Tuesday night. Several arrests have been reported, according to Keeley, but police have not confirmed the number of people who have been placed in custody.

Large crowds of juveniles looted multiple stores across Center City Philadelphia Tuesday night, police said.

Among the stores looted were the Footlocker and the Apple store near 15th and Chestnut and the Lululemon in Center City.

A police officer said over 100 juveniles looted the Lululemon.

Cellphone video shared with NBC10 shows a group running out of the Apple store after looting it.

A security guard at the Wendy's, Hakeem Russell, said that the store next to Wendy's along Chestnut was broken into and the guard was assaulted.

"A couple a kids decided they wanted to take full advantage of the unjust shooting that's happened," Russel said. "It's definitely been unrest around here since the verdict."

Multiple witnesses of the looting say crowds of what look to be 100-200 kids are walking around with masks on breaking into stores and stealing whatever they can.

We need to let more Korean store owners into the country and set them up in these cesspool cities! We CANNOT and SHOULD not allow this absence of civility become the norm. Another thing so sad is the ‘leaders’ of that city are just going to continue to double down on the blame game, never accepting the blame. I have to say it doesn't surprise me one bit given what a lawless shithole the city of Philadelphia has become but the new interim Philly PD Commissioner (who took over after the utterly useless Danielle Outlaw left recently) appeared to not be screwing around and had lots of police out there rounding up the rabble pretty quick.

I even saw a video clip where a Philly cop got one feral hoodrat in a chokehold and as he tried to break free, he hauled away and punched the hapless miscreant square in the face. GOOD

I'm quite concerned for my grandson, a lieutenant on the Philly PD and for his family and for my daughter and her family. Grandson commutes into Philly to Drexel 5 days a week.

I've been hoping they'd get out of there, but so far....

The leftist District Attorney has already refiled charges. Why would anyone want to be a cop/live in Philly.

Not surprisingly, the District Attorney’s Office, headed by Soros DA Larry Krasner, announced that it would appeal the decision . Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney inflamed the situation by tweeting his support for the man who pulled a knife on police officers
