Why aren't more levels labeled with ruler markings?

I have a $4 Stanley level that I use 99% of the time because it's a ruler as well. For hanging stuff, it makes it super easy to get the exact spot I want. I want to buy a longer one with inches on it but haven't been able to find one.

Is there some reason this isn't standard on pretty much all levels?

Every level I own that's bigger than torpedo size is marked with a ruler on one edge.
