Fetterman is a moderate like Joe Manchin was a moderate. They'll vote according to the commands of their Party masters 98% of the time, but they'll be allowed to "be independent" and "reach across the aisle" when it really doesn't matter to the final outcome. Like WV, PA should be solidly red but for Philly & the 'burbs doing Philly things, and Pittaburgh & environs refusing to acknowledge that the days of the Coal and Steel Bosses being over (and not needing the Dems to look out for the little guy). Playing chameleon is the only way to overcome the Republican numerical advantage.

Democrats take statewide offices (lke Fetterman as Lieutenant Governor and now as U.S. Senator) because PA Republicans suck at actually voting, especially in off-years. In races with two crappy candidates, the Dems win by default.

It amazes me that only one Democrat can think and vote like this. Time and time again Fetterman of all people shows he is articulate. That line about the population of Pittsburgh crossing the border every month is amazing, and the Democrats still vote the way they do....
