My Tundra utilizes 2 cargo light bulbs and 1 bulb for the 3rd brake light.
Incandescent bulbs do about nothing for the cargo lights and the brake light is about the same. I swapped to inexpensive LEDs and they start to flicker after about 3 months.
I don’t want to keep removing the housing as eventually it will leak into my cab but need the added light.
Well Diode Dynamics makes on hell of a fog light so I went ahead and bit the bullet as their promo video about the bulbs describes my experience with crap bulbs to a T.

I hope they are not the blinding lights I see on some vehicles. I am totally blind for a few seconds after seeing these in oncoming traffic. I do not blame you for replacing them, I just hope they are normal brightness and long lasting.

If you’re seeing brake lights in oncoming traffic, you have bigger problems than your rods being momentarily overloaded.

They are cargo lights that illuminate the truck bed and behind when working on the bed not while the truck is being operated.
They also illuminate when I hit the unlock button which is great when in a dark parking lot. Both front and rear of the area around the truck are fully illuminated.

The single brake light is red is not blinding.

I agree with this 100%, assholes with ultra bright high beams and fog lights are a real traffic hazard and the police do NOTHING about it. We even have School Buses driving around with the high beams on 100% of the time. I'm at the point where I just may get that 9 inch, 1 million candlepower spot light I had for my boat and put it in my car.

I've stopped counting.

I'm right there with you. I bought the cheapo LED replacements from Amazon. They lasted a couple of weeks. So I spent the money on nicer ones bought through Headlight Revolution. It's been two years and no trouble. Also, I installed these Matt Gecko bed lights and under hood lights.. Super nice and convenient.

Mine is a 2010

I may get around to doing the Matt Gecco bed lights but have no need for LEDs inside the cab.

I agree, Vleds have always been a great company to deal with. I’ve always been happy with their quality and prices. I’ve never had a bulb of theirs fail and I have had a lot. Swapped many from car to car when sold and purchased.
