I think the dog called the cops when the interloper refused to play, and deservedly so.

Golden Retriever and “guard dog” don’t belong in the same sentence. Don’t get me wrong, they’re great dogs, sweet as hell, but not guard dogs.

SDPD sent in a FPV drone to scout the house before making entry.

It's becoming an increasingly common tactic, especially at larger PDs. Helps partially clear the structure, gain an idea of the layout, and potentially pinpoint the location of the intruder, rather than having to walk in blindly.

Also commonly used with known armed and barricaded suspects.
