Behold: the most terrifying motorsport on-board you’ll ever watch as you ride along with Davey Todd in the Isle of Man TT
Davey Todd, finished second in the 2024 Isle of Man TT, he used a camera in his helmet to record the whole trip, if you have a large screen to watch utoob videos it's a must.

This isn't snipits and views from drones it's the full monty, start to finish from the riders viewpoint...

Instant death for most. I don't know how they do it. It's hard enough hitting every corner solid on a road course, let along narrow city streets.

Guess you just have to hope nobody’s house cat suddenly strolls out in front of you.

I think average yearly deaths is 2, since the start of TT.

I imagine he scared the stew out of the rider he passed!

It doesn’t seem humanly possible to me, to ride that fast and not die.

It’s always been my contention that the Isle of Man riders are quite insane.

I've been watching these videos for years. It scares me just to watch them.
I sold my bike 35 years ago, with todays drivers I would never ride again.

I saw him hit 300 KPH (180 MPH). No thank you. Not with only two tires, and no doors.

And a stone wall for a run off area.

I would love to ride the course at near the speed limit.

All that was missing from the video was telemetry on the bike. It would have been interesting to see the speeds he was carrying.

I'll bet there are guys who can close their eyes and run that entire course in their mind.
One misjudged turn and you're toast.

Those guys are brave. If you are a nerd/love all things relating to the TT I HIGHLY recommend finding Mat Oxley’s book Stealing Speed.

There is a significant portion of Stealing Speed devoted to the Isle of Man TT. Mat is a motorcycle journalist, author and former Isle of Man TT winner. It is a damn shame his book has not been made into a film yet. It would be an amazing film if done by the right people. It is an incredible TRUE story that most people do not know.

Fun to watch fantastic riders like him on very fast motorcycles!

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

I read a book years ago called "A twist of the wrist". I can't find it. Don't know where it went
but I would like to read it again.

Back into riding after about 10 years off. Funny you mentioned riding it at moderate speeds. Watching the first few minutes of the video, he hits a corner where I said to myself, "well, I probably would have wadded it up there at 1/8 the speed because I wouldn't have seen it in time."

I'm sure all the participants have the course memorized as there is no way in hell you can see and react to the road at the speeds they are running. Then all they have to do is run it from memory with zero mistakes in order to survive the lap.

No cities on the tiny Isle of Man, just a couple of towns and lots on villages.
