My family is from a country just north of Brazil - given our ethnic groups, I’ve always laughed when people compare the US to Europe, the more logical comparison is Brazil.

Shouldn't the care facility also have some criminal and/or civil liability here as the employer? The facility as well as hiring manager and/or execs. I should hope so. Subject to criminal prosecution as well as civil compulsorily and punitive damages. Make them think twice about who they hire.

It is not my intention to single you out. It's merely coincidental that your expression of this was the point at which I have seen this statement enough, and I wish to see it no more in this forum.

Human cruelty is as old as humanity itself. The world the Baby Boomers grew up was not a Father Knows Best, Leave it to Beaver Utopia. The world the Baby Boomers grew up in had Charles Starkweather, Charles Manson and Richard Speck, for example.

No matter whether or not you think it's true, I am sick of seeing these laments about how our society has turned irrevocably horrible and I am asking you guys to cease and desist. I posted this in order to bring attention to the actions of these two people, and not so that we can feel sorry for ourselves. I feel that their names and photographs should be known to society. This is why this thread exists.

Some say prison is to keep these criminals from committing more of their crimes as they are wont to do over and over again.

The family and friends of the victim might feel a different reason. Those low bail numbers.

Our justice system needs to be smarter than that.

Someone needs to wipe those fucking smiles off their faces.

Incompetence or indifference, I can somewhat understand although no tolerate. But inhumanity is one thing that I think most people can agree on. Those egging on the cruelty are guilty of the same crime.

The utter lack of any humanity is just incomprehensible. The animal kingdom is kinder. Whatever happens to them, it is of their doing and they deserve it all.
I do not want to decide their punishment, but I hope it's just.

Evil has existed forever, and when good men do nothing it flourishes. Boomers, millennial, or whatever the term for the next and after generations are. Para is right Speck, Manson, Wurnhos and Dahmer to name a few.

This post is to bump this thread to the top. I am angry that this happened and I think I want to be angry about it for a while longer.
