Long Term Care insurance - what's the consensus?
The entire point of LTC insurance working for them is they re-invest the money and earn interest to play for future outlays, usually in the stock market. GE Capital was the big player before the 2008 crash. But insurance and re-insurance got hammered during the 2008 crash. GE decided to sell off that business, it hasn't been the same since. Now there is complete turmoil in the financial markets due to Covid and now Ukraine. Right now, worldwide, every Central Bank is stressed and some have failed outright. Scary times.....
