Good options for long-term storage and not using for some time (vacation), but not so great for daily usage, especially where you're cutting-off power and need to re-enter various presets and pairings. | |||

Someone in my neighbor hood had their Porche Cayenne stollen by a couple of kids in their drive way with a laptop. Had a scanner tool. Walked to the front of the house. Picked up the key near by. Dupped the key signal and then broadcast it to the car. Unlocked, started it and drove off. Literally like some "Gone in 60 seconds" type stuff.
