A couple of co-workers were overheard talking about hunting with Coonhounds...somebody got offended so the word is now banned at work. Seems a little too PC to me but maybe I'm just out of touch with the sensitivity of other people's feelings.

One of the most majestic sights I have seen (when it comes to dogs) was 2 Redbone Coonhounds standing on their front porch in backwoods KY. The sun was shining on them just right and they were just a sight to behold - not barking, not carrying on, just standing there in the sun.

He (the dog) was a stray whose owners didn't want him back, if you can believe it. Boo (yes, a dog named Boo) is just a pet, but he will chase any coons that get into the yard.

If 'Coonhound', which is both definite and accurate in describing a specific breed of dog bothers these moronic nitwits, then just refer to these breeds as "Bluetick Spades", or "Redbone Jungle Bunnies", or in my specific case, "Treeing Walker Porch Monkies". This crap has gotten way out of hand and people need to start responding to this BS with an emphatic, "Stuff it if you don't like it".
