If you haven't heard of either of them, you should look them up.

Anyhow, Jocko has a podcast, this one is from Mar 18th, 2020. If you've seen this one, you have to have been moved......changed. I've listened to podcasts, never listened to one that 4hrs 40min strait through. It's so worth it.

Jocko got me through the five months I was in the physical rehab facility.

I'd love to tell him how much he helped me.

This was a good one. I think it may have made the rounds here back when it first aired. Jonny Kim is an absolute savage.

I prefer Jocko's Unraveling podcast with Darryl Cooper, however his Jocko Podcast has some interesting guests, Kim being one of the most fascinating.

I’ve listened to many that were 4 hours or greater. Bill McRaven is probably still my favorite.

Ep 290

This was also excellent. For me, it's top 3 with Kim and Drago being the other 2. I really enjoyed McRaven telling the stories of him showing up to BUDs and jawwing with the shorter Chief.

Episode 270 with David Stott, a retired British Army NCO who was the second person from outside the Royal Marine Commandos to join the Special Boat Service.

But the best part was the discussion with Stott about his record setting bicycle ride from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska in a mere 99 days.

This is a very good thread!

Jocko has a video where he discusses how to deal with setbacks, problems and things we didn’t anticipate. It’s one simple word, “good”.

Lost your job? Good. Now you can find a better job
Make a bad mistake? Good. You know what not to do

We can’t control the world around us. We can only control how we react to the challenges and things that come our way. I began to understand this because of Jocko.
