I am going to be downsizing and thinning the herd a bit soon. The evacuation fire drill during last year's hurricane season showed me that I need to figure out a more realistic game plan.

I've been in touch with some local brick and mortar dealers and am having trouble finding someone to do outgoing transfers for a reasonable fee in Pinellas County, FL. I don't think 80-100 per firearm plus shipping is a reasonable transfer fee. I paid much less for this in the past. I'm going to be providing boxes in most cases, so it won't be much of a hassle.

I've also called around to some of the kitchen table guys, but I was hoping to get some references here for places that are squared away.

You can either post here or shoot me an email to my profile email with the info. Any leads that you all have experience with are much appreciated.

Local to me. I've used Deer Hunter Guns on 60 for both ways. If you have multiple items then you may have some room to negotiate. Call Cracker Boys. I haven't used them for a bit so not sure what current rates are. I have also used Tampa Bay Pawn when they had the Oldsmar which was close to me. They still have the store on 60.

I use Oakhurst Hardware on Oakhurst by the "little Publix" and pay $30. It's a hardware store with an FFL and, fortunately for me, it's very near my house.

I live in Pinellas County and have been using Firearms Fred. ( firearmsfred.com ) Four of my friends and I have been very happy with his service. He charges only $25.00 for a transfer ( plus $5.00 for the call equals a total of $30.00 ) and NO TAX. I have heard stories from people that some dealers try to charge tax.
He is a great guy. He has a small shop in his garage and will work with you on hours when YOU are available. Even Sunday once. He is located just north of East Bay off Keene in a nice neighborhood. Everyone I have referred to him has been very happy.

We have a decent number of members in that area. Might get some local buyers.

I have used Armslist with luck selling local.
