I'm a Chicago NW sider and as a result rarely venture to the south side.
I'm dropping someone off at Midway Airport this week and would like to have a good meal near the airport, I'm looking for suggestions.
Family type restaurant.

Tons of places on Cicero, Lon, but I don't remember anything specific. I know someone else will chime in.

Midway Airport in Chicago is NOT Midway IL.

Cermak road has Many ethnic restaurants. Some have been in business since the 1940s.

Garretts Cheese Popcorn in the airport. Breakfast Lunch or Dinner!

Dinner.

In a word: MEXICAN!
Some great Mexican Restaurants in that area!

At Haciendita, when it says "hot", it's HOT!!!
But great food at either place
Both are on Pulaski, so a mile east of Midway.

I can't give the exact time of this clandestine operation but say around 5pm, no date will be given.
Given the horror of capture all N.W. side participants will have suicide pills.
I'm sure a sewage treatment plant will be nearby so the South Siders will have a place to shelter in place when waiting for the attack signal from there headquarters.
Going out to eat used to be fun.
