Story here. https://wqad.com/2019/09/11/io...ofit-for-the-school/ I knew the the highest paid state employees were in the sports coaching jobs. but I did not know that The Hawkeyes brought in this much dough. Any one know what the Texas teams do ? they must be quadruple the amounts , down there Safety, Situational Awareness and proficiency. College fooseball is big business. Mississippi State brings in over $100,000,000 per year from being in the SEC and the rich associations that carries with it. And they are perennially in the bottom half of rankings in the SEC West (Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Texas A&M...). ________________________________________________ "You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. When there are no major sports leagues in the state you gotta revert to Iowa and Iowa State and sometimes UNI and Drake.

Arkansas is in the same boat. No pro sports teams, so the University of Arkansas gets all the fans/money.

Reference Total Revenue Are the private schools omittted? It seems they are from a note I saw. Did not see Notre Dame, Stanford or USC.

Yes, there are lot of non-profits that bring in a lot of revenue. And by current tax law, this is perfectly legal. I think there's a question of what the qualifications of a non-profit should be. If they're paying executives and other employees (thinking coaches in the college sports paradign) seven+ digit salaries, a strong argument can be made that the executives are pulling profits out of the ostensibly non-profit corporations in the form of salaries.

The private schools do not have to report their numbers, like the state schools do. I have a few SIGs.

Pretty shocking that no matter how much they bring in they all spend it. Well not really shocking I suppose.
