Home invaders used victim’s own gun to rob him — and steal his Cadillac

Two men forced their way into a New Jersey man’s home, where they stole his guns and took off — in his car.
The robbery occurred on Dec. 22 between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. at a home in Monroe Township, according to the Monroe Township Police Department.
The victim answered his door and was faced with an unknown black man. As soon as he opened the door, a second suspect pushed his way into the home and knocked the victim to the ground.
The victim was brought to his feet and watched by one of the home invaders while the other searched the house. The suspect who remained with the victim discovered a handgun, which he pointed at the victim while demanding he turn over his wallet, phone and keys.
The victim obliged, and the suspects shoved the victim into a closet and barricaded the door.
The victim was eventually able to free himself after his assailants left, and he went to a neighbor’s house to report the crime.
He soon found out that the thieves had made off with his white 2012 Cadillac CTS, a .38-caliber Walther handgun and a .22-caliber rifle.
The victim described the two robbers as black males, about 6 feet tall with light to medium complexions. They both appeared to be in their twenties, he told police.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the robbery to call Detective Don Darcangelo at 856-728-9800, ext. 524.

ASKSmithThe article suggests they are more concerned about the stolen Cadillac.
Note to self: Don't open the door to people you don't know.

PS to self!
Never be more than an arm's reach from your sword. Gun in this case.
And be suspicious of any unknown person who knocks at your door. Our main entrance has a window in it. I can see who is there before we open the door. 'Nuf said.
Our house has a second entrance that could be called the main one. It has no window in it so we cannot see who is there. I always go out thru the door with the window to see who is at the other door. Do not open that windowless door. Sound weird? Not to us, as our area here in Prince William county has been over run with "immigrants".

ASKSmithIt might be on the list of “legal” firearms allowed in New Jersey.
1. Red Ryder BB gun manufactured before 1920.
2. Nerf single shot rifles with a barrel length of 24” or greater.
3. Human hand shaped in the form of a firearm. “Dual Wielding” is a Class II felony.
4. A 4x6 picture of a relative with a firearm prior to WWII. DNA sample must prove genealogy.
5. Walther .38
