R.I.P. Charles Schulz.

WWII vet, Staff Sgt. in 20th Armored Diuvision.

My oldest brother is named Charles. So of course everybody calls him Charlie. Not a long step from there to Charlie Brown.

Many moons ago, he had a dog, not unlike a beagle but black and white, that used to sit on top of his (flat roofed) doghouse to keep an eye on the neighborhood.

I don't recall his real name, but pretty much everybody called him Snoopy.

Been a Peanuts fan since I was a kid.
