Where on the internet can I buy those small single use packs of meds that one usually find in the first aid kit at a larger business or office? I’ve always seen these mounted on the wall. I’m referring to those little packs containing individual units of cold meds, pain meds such as aspirin, Tylenol, first aid creams of various kinds, etc.

I previously asked this and thought I’d bookmarked and also recorded the link that one member replied with a supplier who had exactly what I’m looking for. I can’t find it now, I guess the thread was pruned.

I’m referring to the sellers who offer a smaller package of each type containing maybe roughly 8-10 or so instead of having to spend too much money buying a much larger package for far more than suits my needs. I can easily find online vendors but they are selling far too large packs than I can use.

For example, I want to buy packs of Tylenol or triple antibiotic cream but most vendors sell it in boxes of 50 or larger

One member here gave me a link to one that sells these in a smaller pack, maybe 6 in a box for a few bucks.

EDIT: So it just occurred to me that I’ll need some sort of sturdy durable container to hold, keep, and organize these supplies. I don’t really have anything suitable on hand here, and I don’t want to just dump them in a box or pack. I want something to keep at home and then go in the RV when time comes. What do you recommend?

I have seen them at the Dollar store, some items will be brand name.

Contact Zee Medical to see if they sell to the consumer market.

We have their First Aid cabinets at work, and I find their OTC medications to be as effective as the popular brand names.

You can buy boxes of single-dose packets of individual medications on Amazon or from office/industrial supply places.

If you just want a few of each medication rather than 50 or 100 or whatever, the best deal I have found is this $5 pack from Rescue Essentials, which includes a few doses each of (non-brand name) Benadryl, Tylenol, Advil, Aspirin, Immodium, and Tums.

I like what JSK linked and then I found exactly what I want under their TAB for “Meds and Topicals”. Very reasonable prices for smaller quantities in what I need for several first aid kits.

REI sells refill meds.

You can buy a whole set of refills for a couple of bucks and replace all the meds at once.

These days, I just buy the jumbo jars from Costco and pack a pill case full. If you need 2 ibuprofen, you might as well have 16-32 to get you past the next few days (2 tabs every 4-6 hours).

I’m in OKC, we’ve not had a Costco or a REI before but our Costco is being built and opens in May. I’ve been a Costco member for about 10 years, can’t wait to buy locally soon. We’re also getting a REI this fall. YEA !

Bump for question on storage container

For home and RV, a box with lots of little compartments for organization is ideal.

If you go to the drug store, you can probably find a first aid kit by Johnson and Johnson for pretty cheap that fits the bill. I'm pretty sure I paid $15 or so for basic kit that came in a plastic case years ago.

Periodically Target will do a promotion where if you buy 2 or 3 Johnson and Johnson products, you get a soft sided first aid case for free.

You can also just go to the home improvement section of Wal-Mart and get a little tool box, or the fishing section and get a tackle box. The sporting goods section also has hard sided gasket sealed "dry boxes" that would make for a good first aid kit.

Lastly, Harbor Freight sells plastic tool boxes in all manner of sizes, little divided cases for small items, as well as gasket sealed Pelican knock off cases.

Really, anything other than a shoe box should work fine.

For traveling around, I just use the long skinny snack size zip lock bags for the few Band-Aids and painkillers I might use. I put separate "used only in emergencies" trauma stuff (CPR mask, tourniquet, celox gauze, shears) in a vacuum sealed bag to keep me from using the good stuff unnecessarily.

I use a hard plastic box with a hinged lid, made for a bar of soap. It seals well enough to resist rain, but probably is not “waterproof”.

I use a fishing tackle insert. You can customize it to fit whatever size slots you need.
