If I sell off all my investments I should just be able to buy some of those peanut butter crackers.

I did buy an extra package of chicken for the freezer tonight, so I got that going for me.

Always tons of food at home, plenty of water, and plenty of "equipment". Work is 18 minutes away (drive time) and in the burbs. Home is far away enough from the city that I'd be surprised if we had trouble. They know we all have guns around here.

Yup, in the days after President Trump wins re-election, the maggots will throw tantrums ten times worse than 2016. Unless I have to go out, I'm chilling and protecting my castle. But, I'm not expecting things will be so bad that I'll have to evacuate anywhere.

If you all haven't been working on this since the panic buying of this spring there is no hope for you.

The only thing I've really done is finally bought a plate carrier and plates. After seeing enough footage of the demonstrations this summer, I decided that since I do fire/EMS, I better get off the dime on having one.

We have enough food and supplies to go a year. Ammo stocks are good, not deep enough where i feel comfortable going and shooting a couple 3 day classes but good enough.

I did decide to not attend a combatives class in WI this November because it was the weekend after the election and I would have to go around or through Chicago.

Last week one of my customers, in coordination with some overseas suppliers, scheduled me to be onsite the entire election week (11/1-11/7). So instead of being home in AL, I'll be on the road near Greensboro, NC. I can't really reschedule because coordinating the overseas assets is a royal PITA... So I had to go ahead and get an absentee ballot, and start project planning for a 1 week onsite visit I'd really rather not make during that time frame.

The good news is that I'm driving, not flying. I'll go ahead and have my usual load-out in my car, plus an AR pistol with lightweight chest rig, and supplement my bug-out bag with some additional supplies.

NOT looking forward to the situation, nor the trip itself. Frown

Same thing happened to me in 2016. I spent election night sitting in a Hilton watching the results while slowly loading pmags. Enough to make those fools at Disney shit their pants.

Of course it turned out we won the election and by 10pm I was dancing in my room chatting like a school girl with all my buddies.

What worries me is my lack of ammo. I have lots of .22 rounds. Finding any 9mm has been what seems to be an impossibility. Its been this way for far too long.

I live 10 miles up a windy/curvy mountain road from a town of 800 in a small enclave nestled in the middle of a national forest. I am not worried about any civil disobedience here in the hills of SE Tenn. If there some how was an issue, the locals would make short work of remedying.

I am a bit concerned about possible supply chain disruption so have been stocking up lately.

I would not have to leave home for months if need be.

Firearms and ammo are well covered.

Best regards,

Tom

Love hearing forum members are stocked up and should be safe. I'll finish ordering a few extra things this week, then sit back and relax.

We have similar plans. I live in a very safe area, but I'm topping off my gas tank and not moving. It's just a good excuse to update the batteries, food, and other things in my kits. It wouldn't shock me if forum members in big cities only run into supply chain issues as well, but you never know.

I brought more TP home last week. My wife thought we have more than enough.

Overall we are good. It is something we have focused on for a good long time. Being prepared is important.

If you are not. Start tomorrow.

Went and bought a 30 day food supply that is good for 25 years. The stuff Dan Bongino is sponsored
by. Arrived surprisingly quick. They said a several week delay. Had it on my doorstep in a little over a week.

Now I need to get of my duff and actually get a decent generator instead of talking about it

I've been putting off some house repairs (gutter & roof work) in favor of building up reserve stocks of food, water, medical, etc. If I can find one at a reasonable price I'd like to pick up a small generator (just enough to run the fridge and freezer and a few lights, it doesn't get very cold around here). My every-other-month Costco resupply run will happen this week. I have enough on hand now for probably 6 to 8 weeks, and plan to have that upped to hopefully 12 weeks worth by election day.

I doubled down on laying in ammo and magazines after the Sandy Hook panic finally died out so I'm good there, I just need to get some more of them loaded up. With the weather getting cooler and heavier shirts and jackets becoming more the norm I'll probably switch my EDC from my IWB Shield to an OWB G-17 (just because I don't have an IWB for it). I've also been getting in more practice time and reconfirming zeros on my SD/HD long guns, both with and without the can. And cleaning them. I've even got a plate carrier setup ready along with a small chest rig (been thinking about a little bigger chest rig, but it's probably too late now to get that in before the election).

My neighbors are all pretty much in the "Just leave me alone and let me live my life" camp politically (although one family up and moved to Idaho last year because Oregon had become too liberal for them). Nobody has either Trump or Biden signs in their yards. Everybody's pretty friendly. We're about 15 miles outside of Portland proper so I don't expect any real issues here other than maybe the stores running low on some things, but that's why we lay in reserves. I don't broadcast my "gun-nutness" to my neighbors, but I expect that they've all seen me hauling rifle cases, range bags, ammo cans and the like between house and vehicle enough times to have figured it out. Nobody ever says anything, but I wouldn't be surprised if somebody comes around asking for advice (or even ammo) if the downtown violence threatens to migrate out this way.

My office is downtown, outside the areas where the worst of the rioting happens but becoming more and more surrounded by homeless gatherings all the time. We've all been working from home since March though, and will be for the foreseeable future, so my plan to hunker down and bug-in rather than bug-out if it should hit the fan next month is still viable.

I’ll be working about 25 miles away from home. Ever since the commie takeover in VA I’ve kept a pistol, spare mags, hatchet, change of clothes/shoes, extra knives, flashlight, water and meal bars in a kit in the truck. We have supplies at home to ride out civil unrest plus game aplenty, turkey houses, good neighbors, etc. I do need to refill the gas cans and do a function check on the generator and chainsaw though.

I have extra supplies of medicine, three first kits, 10,000+ rounds of ammo, month plus of long shelf life food, propane, full pantry of dry goods, 10 AR mags loaded, a dozen hand gun mags loaded, I changed careers to one that is critical vs essential.

I'm pretty darn prepared, could stay holed up in the house for months if needed. I plan on tomorrow picking up more propane, bottled water, pasta, and TP. That will finish my prep.

COVID, civil unrest, zombies, etc. I'm pretty set, more so than 99% of my neighbors.

Nothing outside our normal level of preparedness.

2-3 months worth of frozen and canned goods, 200+ gallons of diesel for the tractor, a full 120 gallon tank of propane for the generator, plenty of wood for the stove. Multiples of 1000 rounds for .45 9mm, .223, .22 and several hundred for the shotgun. On our own well, but also a half-dozen 24 packs of bottled water JIC. White goods out the wazoo, never even came close to running out during The Great TP Panic of '20

Dang I was gonna say maybe pick up a few packages of those little peanut butter crackers, but it doesn't seem like such a fancy idea now.

Oh, I don't know. I just bought a 24 pack of Austin cheese crackers from Fred Meyer..they go good with my Chunky soup. So I should be all set.

Just organizing the piles I have been collecting and ensuring the Mrs knows about everything....until recently she really didn't care beyond "we got lots of shit in the garage"

Nothing has really changed around here.
I’ve always kept “stuff” stacked deeper than most folks I know.
I just finished off the last of the TP I bought back last November.
Freezer is full. Just had the propane topped off for winter.
Three deep freeze calves are being fed out right now.
Sheep are starting to multiply.
And I never have been one to run to town on a whim.
Although UPS & Fedex ring me more stuff than they used to.

Preps? We just called it “living” when I was growing up.

Was shopping tonight and heard a young mother say...

"Might as well grab some more TP, as nobody knows what might happen in the next couple weeks"

Smart young lady!
