Not sure if this is a company wide thing or a regional thing but NONE of the CFA’s in my area have reopened their dining rooms yet and don’t seem in any rush to ever go back to dine-in.

It’s annoying and starting to make me wonder about them. I like my CFA like anyone but am tired of having to go through a drive thru and eat it in my car or at home.

Open your friggen dining rooms already!

Not here in El Paso. I personally don’t mind but I think it’s kind of stupid. Their drive through as curbside likes are crazy.

Still drive through only in SC as well. We used to eat at our local CFA about once per week. Now that it’s drive through only, we eat there maybe once per month.

In WA they are allowing restaurants indoor dining at 50% capacity.

I’ve yet to find a fast food place (CFA included) that have opened seating areas.

I think the businesses figure they can save the money on labor and just stick to drive-through/pick up.

Folks are conditioned to it at this point and reduces their overhead.

Not much to wonder about. They aren't losing much, if any, money by going with Drive-Thru and Curbside Pickup...both of those are a more efficient use of the employees.

Their dinning rooms were never efficient and a huge drain on manpower. Their Drive-thru business has increased and Curbside Pickup has been steadily growing.

Locally, none of the employees have been laid off

Not here in San Antonio. I’ve pretty much quit them. The food gets soggy and cold in the box before I can get it home.

CFA is so wildly popular they probably won’t need to ever reopen their dine-in facilities, even though the food is much better as a dine-in product.

And the bastids quit selling cole slaw.

Dine-in closed around here and I don't look for them to open them up anytime soon since they went woke.

Several other fast food joints and restaraunts are open for business. Some have been running damn near like covid never happened.

Here in Parker county (just west of Tarrant County, home to Fort Worth) both our Chick-Fil-As are open for indoor dining. Same goes for the location down in Granbury which is about 45 mins outside the metroplex. However I’ve noticed that none of the locations inside Dallas/Fort Worth are open inside. Same goes for the locations we tried to hit in OKC traveling through on our way to KS. Seems to be a local management decision from what I can tell.

The CFA nearst me is undergoing major structure work, which began about the time of the hard freeze in the area. It is not open at all. The next nearest one (several miles further away) is still drive-thru and take-out only. Many restaurants without drive-thru capability have opened with limited seating (for quite a while now) and now I've noticed many fast-food places with drive-thrus have inside seating. Taco Bell, Burger King, and Golden Chick all do. None of those have drive-thru service as well done as CFA, though (no one does).

I don't know what the construction at my closest CFA is for--it may just be repairs from a frozen pipe catastrophe--but I did note that some of it is happening adjacent to the drive-thru service window. They are supposed to reopen this month, so I guess I'll find out soon.

Still drive through only, there is always a line around the building and down the block, but man they have perfected the fast drive through service process.

In NW Houston as we drove by Friday, we noticed folks walking out of our CFA carrying food, first time in a year. Ill investigate closer tomorrow.

We have no state restrictions now in Texas so come on CFA!!

ETA on 4/13 I was able to go by our CFA and it is still drive through, but Grub hub type folks pick up in side, so that is what I saw.

I am reading some of the post below and I am amazed that some states are still so locked down.
The wife and I admit that we stayed home in March and April of last year when everything was closed but as soon as Gov Abbot opened up at 25% we have been eating out! Trying to keep our favorite eating spots financially afloat I guess.
The local Rudys BBQ took down their mask sign and we walk right in like before the China virus hit.

Come on CFA open up!!

We had CFA last night, didn't think to look if the dining area was open. Easier to dine at home with a 7 mo old.
But, probably the worst CFA experience we've had. Chicken must have been bottom of the bag leftovers, not up to usual CFA quality.

Ours here have not re-opened. but I do not see how they could. The drive through is 3 lanes wide now and it still wraps around the building.

You can eat at the one in the mall and sit down there. I have actually done this, the line is shorter and I like sitting down with the spicy chicken sandwich and just enjoying it. Also, free refills and a quick lap around the mall is a perfect lunch.

The one here hasn’t reopened its dining room. I think it must be corporate since most restaurants in my area never closed.
