A good friend retired from the Marine Corps (air wing) as a Crew Chief. After some time signed up to the Air Force Reserve as Lieutenant. He is just being promoted from Captain to Major. We are invited to his promotion party in August. Additional information. He is an IT Engineer; teaches Utah CC; adjunct professor at a local university, and brews beer and makes wine. Yes, a very accomplished man.

What is an appropriate gift for such a situation. I would really appreciate some advise in this situation.

I would venture to say that a serious fixed blade/'Major' knife would be appropriate... Wink

A good bottle of Bourbon, but that's me...

What does he shoot? Maybe a custom set of grips / holster for his EDC? Something with a Marine Corps Eagle, Globe and Anchor (being a former Marine, I couldn't put an Airforce emblem on anything of mine.... Wink)
