Interesting story for two reasons: 1. We can deduce the driver was wearing shoes, or else they'd still be hopping up and down cursing from stepping on a Lego brick. 2. Lego resale shops are a thing? If you want to see how deep the rabbit hole goes, check out some of the online Lego resale sites like Bricklink or BrickEconomy. Certain rare individual pieces can go for $100+. Certain rare minifigures can go for $5k+. Certain rare sets still in their boxes can go for $10k+.

RE: #2, yes there's folks that will buy sets just for the parts to resell as individuals. There's 3rd party groups that develop their own Lego builds & publish the instructions & brick requirements. Found one for a MG Midget, but it was $7 for the build guide & over $200 for the bricks. Pass on that. The Enemy's gate is down.

I missed this thread, but drive by this shop a few times a day. It’s a couple blocks from my house. We missed the story, but saw the plywood over the window. This shop is basically across from a T intersection. “The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.”—H.L. Mencken

Does that include the Lucas electrical system? הרחפת שלי מלאה בצלופחים

No, the Lucas Electrical is an additional $14,017.32. The parts are $0.32. The spare parts collection you need to keep it working is $14,017.00. Nice is overrated "It's every freedom-loving individual's duty to lie to the government." Airsoftguy, June 29, 2018

Luckily, electrically, the Midget [real one] hasn't been bad. Heat mgmt is the current task. The Enemy's gate is down.

Fighting the good fight |
Reminds me of a funny story from about a decade back. High school girl has a big fight with her parents, runs away from home in her car, then in a fit of rage decides to drive her car into the side of her high school. Smashes through a side entrance into a hallway, but doesn't make it very far. Girl realizes what she's done, comes to her senses, and decides to wait for the cops. And wait. And wait. And wait... The thing is, that specific school didn't have alarms on the side entrance doors, and she didn't travel far enough into the hallway to trigger any of the motion sensors. So she crashed at around 3:00 am, but wasn't spotted until a staff member showed up around 6:30 am and noticed the damage. Cops show up over 3 hours late, and the girl is still hanging out, waiting. The students and staff had a lot of fun with "drive-through" jokes and signs for a few weeks.
