I am still learning before I move up to a more expensive unit.

Phantom 4 Pro. Fantastic stuff. I use mine for mapping, land clearing, and expansion. Unofficially, I use it as a pig hunting aid.

Mavic Pro 2 is my newest one.

Phantom 4
Mavic Pro

I would love to have a Mavic Pro 2 Hasselblad, but my regular MP just won't fly away. I would fly my P4, but all of my batteries have died.

You should buy one battery for your P4 and sell it since it’s just gathering dust. Then sell your MP and you have enough for a MP2. I sold my 2 Phantoms and my MP and bough a MP 2. In the picture I posted above I have an MP on the end. The difference is unbelievable.

DJI Spark. I got it because it fits well into the saddlebag of my motorcycle. I don't use it nearly as much as I thought I would primarily due to restrictions.

- Custom Daya 550
- I also build this guy below full time, so there's always interesting tech floating around the office

DJI Phantom (whichever one was available in 2015).

I would recommend the prop guards and don't press return to home without first adjusting for the altitude of the trees surrounding your "home". Big Grin

Mavic Pro here, it is certainly more impressive than it's operator!

I thought there would be more of us.

Those pesky NFZs.
Darn those things.
I suppose they save us potential trouble, but still.

I had permission once to fly at a church and the NFZ wouldn't let me launch.
How come the church is an NFZ? Is every church?
How did the manufacturer come up with that?

I doubt if it was a church. There might be a jail or a small airport nearby. I got anNFZ warning last weekend but I’m not sure if it was a major bridge or the veterans hospital that was nearby.

It would be a nice feature if there was code number to define the reason.

One of my best friends insists people that fly these things for a hobby hate them being referred-to as "drones." He asserted the proper term is "quad copter," and that "drone" is only suitable for those devices the military uses. (He's got some quad copters and a couple dozen fixed wing aircraft.)

Anyhoo....

Every time I get to thinking "That'd be cool!" I stop to think "but what would you actually do with it after flying it around the neighbourhood a couple times?" and the answer comes up it being just another Neat Idea that sits around collecting dust.

They are cool, though Smile
