Tail just seems long for a Bobcat but if it’s not man it’s got to be the largest feral cat there is.

To me the black tip on the tail makes me think bobcat.

Tail does seem long for a Bobcat, but some of them just aren't very good at being Bobcats and have tails of decent length. lol

(interwebs says upon to 7 inches)

I just live trapped a feral cat about that same size and color last week. Man that thing was like having a tornado in a cage. I had to take a drive out to a friend's house in the country so he went for a little ride in the back of my truck still in the trap. I cut him lose out in farm country to give him a chance. Man it was like he was riding a rocket when I opened that cage!

He must have not stopped running until he got to southern Kentucky apparently.

So my camera sends me low resolution previews. In the low resolution photo there was pretty much no variation in color on the coat except the black tip on the tail and I thought for sure it was going to be a mountain lion because of the tail length. I was so excited to get the high resolution.
Takes a bit for the full resolution photos to send/download.
Once I got the high resolution I was pretty sure it was a Bobacat just never seen one with that long of a tail.
Still very cool to get a picture of the Bobcat. Really surprised he is out in the open at 4:00 in the afternoon.

Still dreaming of getting a Mountain Lion on my cameras.

This Mountain lion (for comparison) has a tracking collar and has been roaming our backyard for a few years

Doesn't look like any Bobcat I've ever seen. Tail is too long and shoulder is wrong.

You have a bobcat.

Here is a picture my game cam took a few years ago in my backwoods. This is also a bobcat...a really big one. I bet that guy goes 50 pounds. His tail tip is just above the leaves.

The tail looks way too long for a Bobcat. They got that name for a reason. Smile

This is a Bobcat trail cam pic taken in my side yard.

If that is indeed a feral cat, then that would be the largest cat in history. Compare his size to the tire ruts and clumps of grass surrounding him.

It's unusual but bobcats can indeed have longer than normal tails. Take a look at what these guys have to say: HERE

I was going to suggest a Maine Coon also. While not a pure Maine Coon, it could have some DNA.
