My wife is on one of the Russian chat boards locally and came to me last Wednesday with a picture of a cute little bird. Seems the owners bought 2 budgies bud did not realize they bought a male and female.

So we now have a very cute 6-7 week cutie....it's been 24 hours and she seems to be adjusting well. She's eating and seems to have taken to my wife ....riding around on her finger (in the cage).

She's in the office, as it is fairly quiet, for the time being and the Mrs. has already been amazoning for better perches and toys etc.

My wife had one when she was young so we have some experience but any insights would be welcome.

That's a cutie. We had one when I was a kid and daughter had a blue one for a while.

When I was a kid I had a green budgie that looked just like yours. So much personality packed into its tiny brain! Hope yours has that too.

BTW – ImageShack has a wonderful feature: You can downsize a photo for forum posts without the bother of uploading the smaller photo.

Nice looking little buddy there. They can bring much joy to your household. We always had one when I was a kid and my Mom continued keeping birds until the day she died at 98. She said they always were good for cheering her up. I agree.
