It was a good birthday, but a sad one.
My Sister and I share a birthday, but we are not twins. I was born on her 10th birthday, we've always been extra close. Unfortunately, she passed away a few months ago, July 1st. It was really hard not to celebrate with her.

I’m so sorry. Geez, it’s hard to change traditions that have been so well-established, and I’ve had to do a lot of that in the past few years. Makes me feel as though those folks who continually buy new houses, boats, cars, divorce, remarry, etc. have it right, where I just stick with the same old, same old, and then can’t embrace the change when it’s forced on me.

My sympathies on the loss of your sister. May she rest in peace.
